button shelf

The edge of this display shelf is trimmed with vintage buttons in all shades of whites for soft and subtle texture. Painted in Old White, distressed and stained with dark wax it would make a pleasing addition to shabby chic, antique or primitive decor.
I left the original threads on the old buttons--a charming time-honored detail. The buttons reflect the light giving off a soft pearl-like, simmer effect.
Painted in Old White, the distressing shows hints of black and duck egg blue layered underneath. Hand waxed with clear and dark wax. Solid wood. Features four, sturdy double hooks for display or heavy-duty storage.
approximately 48"w x 6.5"h x 5.5"d

    1. I've had this collection of buttons since I was 18.... and yes, it was hard to use them. I figure I'll find others to replace them at some point. It was fun to make something that someone loved and would appreciate.
